Robin's New Toy

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
This is the Napoleon Gourmet Grill (P308).  It's a BBQ Beauty and will be Robin's new toy when it arrives next week.  In the meantime I expect he'll be playing Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory on XBox.

As I wait for my first steak cooked on my back patio I'll be working on more papers.

Shopping Time & Easter

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
I am proud of myself for finally getting a pair of casual dress shoes.  No more wearing hiking sneakers with my outfit for a conference!  (Of course, I'll wear more appropriate socks, but I thought these would be best for an Easter-Weekend posting.)  Still, I felt totally out of my element shoe shopping. Good thing I let the sales lady help me or I would have rejected everything I saw, including these. I'm not used to wearing or buying dress shoes.

Robin and I aren't doing anything for easter. We did have a delicious ham on Friday.   I celebrated the holiday (Eostra - source of the name Easter) last weekend during the spring equinox. And I satisfied my chocolate fix then :)

Nothing much is newsworthy here. Robin now works 1-9pm Thursday to Monday.  We had a serious conversation yesterday about adopting a Lab-Mastiff puppy (heard of someone needing to find a home for it), but decided against it.  Big drooly dog...  Still, we do want a dog. Maybe something a wee-bit smaller though :) And we replanted our herbs yesterday too. Now you know the level of excitement in our lives. lol

March Update

So, what's new?...
Well, we have many more baby herbs as anticipated, though we may have killed some of the dill during transplantation.
Robin is back to work at the same place, new department. Now he works with the corporate butterfly. And his hours suck! 1-9pm. How am I going to eat dinner????
I am writing papers and reading reading reading.
So, not much is new.
Fed my wormies today and caught one climbing the walls. I didn't think worms could climb like that.
Robin is playing XBox. Gryphon is curled up beside him. Jenny was on his lap...
I'm scrounging here!
Thinking... thinking... thinking.
Ostara is coming up this weekend. That's the Vernal Equinox. I'll be driving up to Cold Water to celebrate with friends. For those of you with no specific plans, consider watching the sunrise Sunday morning. That would be appropriate. Last Ostara I watched the sunrise from the end of the world (Cape Spear). Sigh, sometimes I miss Newfoundland and the ocean.
Blessings,

Green things

Robin and I are pleased to announce the sprouting of our first herbs.

Aren't they adorable?  We hope to have many more in the near future.  So far they are all doing well.  Here you see baby Thyme, but we also have baby Basil, Oregano and more. Eight in all. I don't know how we are going to handle eight at once!  But we have a lot of love to share with our little ones as they grow into healthy herbs.

And then we can eat them!  We're true omnivores.
