Darla - updated photos

At long last our digital camera is home.
And so my fun began anew...
I love taking photos of my animals. They never have "bad photo days". They always look perfect. When I was feeling homesick in Germany - and when I was bored in class - I could open my webpage with photos of my cats.
We were also thinking of getting a dog at the time, so I did a lot of pooch-searching from Germany via petfinders.com Of course, Darla wasn't listed at that time, but I'm sure I would have been looking at her if she had been!
Just like you are now. She has really settled into our home. We were very impressed by her behaviour when the two dogs were here last weekend. She was welcoming (once we took them all on a quick walk together) and extremely tolerant of the un-neutered pup's pestering.

February is Official Visitors Month

Come one come all!
Because apparently everyone is!
So far we have hosted Robbie, Paul, Jesse and Justin - all in the same week. Mandy in a house with five guys, a lot of food, and games.
Admittedly, it wasn't so bad as I sometimes make it out to be. They're good guys. We had fun. Plus they gave me drinks ;)

Last weekend we looked after two small dogs - Marpa and Casey. Darla enjoyed the canine company.

Tomorrow my sister and her boyfriend arrive from BC, followed by my parents on Friday. We all convene in St. Catharines on Saturday to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of my grandparents. Then we all return to Kitchener. Dad leaves Monday, Vrnca Tuesday, and mom is here until the end of the month.

So, if you didn't schedule your visit already, I am sorry but the rooms at our Inn are full and we don't have a stable.
We're making one exception for Alisha in April as she returns to Canada after teaching in England for two years.
Then we'll be the ones encroaching upon other peoples' homes as we take a brief trip back to Winnipeg for a long-awaited wedding (yay for Jen and Joe!)

The Inn will reopen in the late summer. So book your room early.
